Cycling is better for your mind, body,
wallet and the world.
CYCLING.
Travel by Bike
Cycling is a great way to stay fit, as well as an efficient way of travelling in terms of both time and money.
Being active releases chemicals in your brain that make you feel good – boosting your physical and mental energy and relieving tension and stress.
British Cycling outlines 5 ways cycling can improve your mental health...
1. It gets you out in the open
2. Aerobic exercise reduces anxiety
3. You can ride a bike socially
4. It’s a proven stress-reliever
5. It’s easy to fit into your daily life

There are plenty of opportunities for cycling, including a new cycleway along Chobham Lane. The new route connects Upper Longcross to Virginia Water via the Woking and Egham Link, a signed cycle route which provides an on-road route between Woking (to the south) and Egham (to the north).

Local Cycle Routes
Electric bikes help you ride farther and faster than you would on a traditional bicycle. One of the biggest benefits associated with electric bikes is their accessibility – they cater for all abilities and ages and allow inexperienced riders to be able to keep pace with more experienced ones.
Halfords are currently offering free electric bike trials, giving you the opportunity to try before you buy.
